COSTUME GUIDE 2024
The list below will answer any questions you have about your child’s costume and items that they may need for the day of the show. LoPresti Dance Theatre likes to maintain a professional look so for the dress rehearsal and the recital all students are required to wear their hair slicked back in a low bun. No bangs. Please part hair down the middle. The easiest way to get your child’s hair in a bun is by doing it when the hair is wet. Pull the hair back in a low ponytail, then wrap the ponytail around itself making a flat bun. For best results purchase a small bun maker. Using a hairnet works the best, along with many bobby pins and lots of hairspray and gel. Creative Movement students can wear their hair however they like as long as it is off of their faces. All students must be in tights (even if your child is wearing pants). Tights must be worn under all costumes. There is absolutely no underwear allowed on stage. MONDAY 4:30 LYRICAL 1- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, Sophia Lucias.
MONDAY 5:30 JAZZ LEVEL 1- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, Sophia Lucias. Bobby pin bow to the top of the bun.
MONDAY 5:30 BALLET LEVEL 4- -Capezio ultra soft pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes. Headpiece gets attached to the right side of their head. If it’s too long at the bottom then you can cut a little piece off.
MONDAY 6:30 HIP-HOP 11-12- Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, black and white high top converse sneakers.
MONDAY 6:30 BALLET LEVEL 5--Capezio ultra soft pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes. Headpiece gets attached to the right side of their head.
TUESDAY 4:30 JAZZ LEVEL 3- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, Sophia Lucias.
TUESDAY 6:15 ACROBATICS III- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights.
TUESDAY 6:30 HIP-HOP 7-8- Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, black and white high top converse sneakers. Bandana goes under the bun and tied around head with the knot at the top (as seen in the book).
TUESDAY 7:15 HIP-HOP 9-10-Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, black and white high top converse sneakers. Blue scrunchie goes around the bun.
TUESDAY 7:30 JAZZ LEVEL 7B- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, Sophia Lucias.
TUESDAY 8:30 TEEN HIP-HOP- Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, black and white high top converse sneakers.
WEDNESDAY 4:15 JAZZ LEVEL 5A- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, Sophia Lucias. Headpiece gets attached to the right side of the bun.
SATURDAY 10:15 CMII, MONDAY 4:30 CMII, AND SATURDAY 9:30 CMI- Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, white patent leather tap shoes. Bow sits high on top of the head. CM students can wear their hair however they want, but it must be off their face and look neat.
WEDNESDAY 5:15 ACROBATICS IV- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights.
WEDNESDAY 5:15 OPEN LYRICAL AGE 9-11- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, Sophia Lucias. Headpiece gets attached to the right side of their head.
WEDNESDAY 5:15 TAP LEVEL C- Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, black tap shoes. Scrunchie goes around the bun.

SATURDAY 11:15 JAZZ LEVEL 1- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, Sophia Lucias.
