COSTUME GUIDE 2025
The list below will answer any questions you have about your child’s costume and items that they may need for the day of the show. LoPresti Dance Theatre likes to maintain a professional look so for the dress rehearsal and the recital all students are required to wear their hair slicked back in a low bun. No bangs. Part the hair in the middle. The easiest way to get your child’s hair in a bun is by doing it when the hair is wet. Pull the hair back in a low ponytail, then wrap the ponytail around itself making a flat bun. Using a hairnet works the best, along with many bobby pins and lots of hairspray and gel. Small bun makers can also be used. Creative Movement students can wear their hair however they like as long as it is off of their faces. All students must be in tights (even if your child is wearing pants). Tights must be worn under all costumes. There is absolutely no underwear allowed on stage. Monday 4:30 Lyrical 1- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias. Hair piece gets bobby pinned on the right side of their bun.
Monday 4:30 Lyrical 3- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, Sophia Lucia. Hair piece gets bobby pinned on the right side of their bun.
Monday 4:45 Beg. Ballet & Thursday 4:45 Beg. Ballet- Capezio ultra soft footed pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair piece gets bobby pinned to the right side of their bun.
Monday 5:30 Ballet Level 3- Capezio ultra soft footed pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair piece gets bobby pinned to the right side of their bun.
Monday 5:30 Jazz Level 4- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias.
Monday 6:30 Lyrical 2- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias. Hair piece gets bobby pinned on the right side of their hide by the bun.
Monday 7:30 Ballet Level 5- Capezio ultra soft footed pink tights, pink ballet shoes.
Monday 7:30 Hip-Hop 11-12- Black and white high top Converse sneakers. Hair scrunchie goes around the bun.
Monday Ms. Erin’s Lyrical Production- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, Sophia Lucia. Hair piece gets bobby pinned on the right side of their bun.
Tuesday 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 Acro Classes- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights. Bare feet.
Tuesday 4:45 Beg. Jazz- Capezio ultra soft footed Caramel tights, black jazz shoes. Bobby pin the headpiece to the right side of their head by the bun.
Tuesday 5:30 Beg. Tap- Capezio ultra soft footed Caramel tights, black patent leather tap shoes. Pin cherry headpiece to the top of their head tilted to their right side.
Tuesday 6:15 Hip-Hop 7-8- Black and white high top Converse sneakers. Headband goes around head with the bow tilted on their right side.
Tuesday 7:15 Hip-Hop 11-12- Black and white high top Converse sneakers.
Wednesday 4:30 Jazz Level 6- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias. Choker goes around neck.
Wednesday 5:30 Lyrical 9-11-Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias.
Wednesday 6:30 Beg. Tap 9-12- Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, black split sole tap shoes.
Wednesday 5:30 Jazz Level 4- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias. Choker goes around neck.
Wednesday 5:30 Tap Level B- Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, black tap shoes. Bobby pin the bow to hair above the top of the bun.
Wednesday 6:30 Tap Level C- Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, black split sole tap shoes.
Wednesday 7:30 Lyrical 12 and up- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias.

Wednesday 7:30 Tap Level D- Black split sole tap shoes.
Thursday 4:30 Jazz Level 2- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias. Purple scrunchie goes around bun.
Thursday 5:30 Jazz Level 3- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias. Use double sided tap for the mitts.
Thursday 5:30 Ballet Level 1- Capezio ultra soft pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Headpiece gets pinned to the right side of the bun.
Thursday 6:30 Hip-Hop (9-10)- Black and white high top Converse sneakers. Don’t forget mitts. Headpiece goes around the bun.
Thursday 8:15 Musical Theatre- Capezio ultra soft footed Caramel tights, dancers will need white sneakers and white knee length socks.
Thursday 8:30 Teen Hip-Hop- Black and white high top Converse sneakers. Please cut pants according to length if they are too long.
Saturday 9:30 and 10:15 CM I & II- Capezio ultra soft footed caramel tights, white tap shoes. Pink feather sits high on the head, on their right side. Attach silver bows to laces.
Saturday Ballet Piece- Capezio ultra soft pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Headpiece gets pinned to the right side of the bun.
Saturday 1:30 Ballet Level 6- Capezio ultra soft pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Headpiece gets pinned to the right side of the bun.
Production- Capezio ultra soft caramel stirrup tights, tan Sophia Lucias. Feather headpiece gets pinned to the right side of their bun.
